All Clear

Now that the danger is over, I can divulge our heightened state of security while sailing through Bab el Mandeb, the small strait between Djibouti and Yemen where we would be most vulnerable to pirate attack.  The captain scared the ship out of us and swore us off sharing anything on social media.  I guess this blog qualifies as social media.

The precautions included wrapping the 2^nd deck with razor wire, posting security dummies on the 3^rd deck, laying out fire hose around the 2nd deck, and posting hired guns in the laundry.   Forget that last bit, but that’s where I ran into them, all three with shaved heads, tattoos and muscles.  Didn’t get a photo.  Sorry.
